Juanluis Gonzalez

A natural born artist, who painted on his bedroom walls and sculpted wires and glass in his garage, Juanluis Gonzalez is now revolutionizing the world of art with his monumental work. After receiving a degree in visual communications from the Art Institute of Dallas, he taught graphic design and advertising for the University of North Texas for 10 years while simultaneously running a successful advertising agency, art gallery and fabrication facility. For over thirty years this internationally recognized artist has explored a wide variety of mediums, genres and techniques moving from painting to constructing monumental sculptures and public art.

A magnet for creative genius and collaborations with internationally acclaimed artists has both inspired and accelerated Juanluis' creative path. Together with AT&T, Juanluis formed and organized The Society for the Advancement of Contemporary Arts in 2000 with the main focus of introducing and promoting new and experimental art and artists.

With several new works in progress, Juanluis divides his time between sculpting, manufacturing and curating art exhibitions throughout the US and Mexico. The recent completion of two important public sculptures in close proximity to The Museum of Modern Art in Fort Worth, Texas and six sculptures for a prominent hotel in Texas position Juanluis as a visionary artist and prominent sculptor. At present he is commissioned and working on several large public works and sculptures in Texas, Germany, Mexico and England which continue to set him apart and position him as one of the most sought after sculptors in the world. Juanluis is also in the process of publishing his latest book “MAXIMVS PROFESSIO” based on his visionary 20 monumental works.

With genuine good will and generosity, Juanluis continues to support and invigorate the artistic community by sharing his vision and knowledge through exhibitions, creative conferences and public art workshops. Scheduled to present a revolutionary workshop “In Search of Method,” at the Smart Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico, he will unveil alternative methodologies for idea development and the creative process during the preconception of art.

Transcending the known, exploring the unknown, Juanluis Gonzalez is internationally recognized as a key figure in the changing landscape of art.
