"Painters Painting : The New York Art Scene 1940-1970"
Originally released in 1973 but never before available on DVD, Painters Painting is the definitive documentary on the New York School of painters, from 1940-1970. Director Emile de Antonio (Point of Order and Millhouse) interviews artists in their studios about their art from the period of Abstract Expressionism, through Hard Edge and Color Field painting to Pop Art.
Samuel Lynne Galleries will host an open house featuring our gallery artists with a vast display of 3-D Oils, Mixed Media & Sculpture.

DADA Spring Gallery Walk

Samuel Lynne Galleries along with thirty-five art galleries, museums & spaces, will be open for the annual Spring Gallery Walk. This free event allows art lovers & enthusiasts to experience Dallas's finest art & culture.
As is customary DADA will offer educational opportunities via its panel discussions for artists & art lovers this Saturday between 10:30am - noon & 1 - 2:30pm. Proceeds benefit DADA's Edith Baker Art Scholarship.
Internationally-acclaimed artist Michael Kalish displays sculptures of iconic personalities, classic Americana and elegant roses created from his signature medium, license plates and vintage tailgates.

Saturday, January 16 6-9 pm As part of his new Alive & Well exhibition opening, Reflectionist Artist, JDMiller, will paint LIVE to demonstrate his signature 3-D Oil technique. Miller will host a brief Q&A session following his performance.
Exhibition will be on display from January 16 - February 19, 2010.
