Samuel Lynne Galleries’ featured artist of the month is our newest onboard, Roman Feral. Parisian born, Miami based Artist sculptor Roman Feral has made a name for himself in the international contemporary art scene. His work celebrates luxury brands and showcases the delicate beauty of nature, drawing inspiration from the fashion industry codes and his cultural background.

In the manner of a true alchemist, Roman seeks to capture the feeling of refinement and precious essence of hand-picked luxury icons with one of nature’s most delicate jewels: butterflies. By positioning the butterflies in a state of flight, Roman Feral creates an illusion of a perpetual journey, capturing a moment in time that transforms the ephemeral into the timeless. After exhibiting his first collection at Art Basel Miami in 2018, Feral has grown his international presence, represented by galleries in Paris, London, New York, Courchevel, St. Tropez, Miami, and Cannes.

Feral is recognized by one the biggest titans of luxury, Chanel. His sculpture “Coffee Chanel Azur” was acquired and now resides in the private collection. Each unique piece features bronze butterflies arranged with careful scrutiny. The iconic fashion items are used are recreated to the finest detail, with the final result requiring more than ninety hours of hand – polishing and more than 30 kilos of bronze to render.

Samuel Lynne currently showcases Feral’s work at both our Dragon Street and Thompson Hotel locations here in Dallas, and we strongly encourage guests to plan a visit to observe these masterpieces. Each butterfly, frozen in time, speaks for the notions of luxury, while telling the story of its originating country. We have seen these artworks dramatically excite and grasp the attention of our collectors, and we have no doubt that Roman Feral has already become and integral part of the SLG roster!
